AGS achieves Canada Awards for Excellence GOLD recognition for Mental Health at Work®
Mississauga, ON (August 14, 2017) – Following a comprehensive and rigorous process which included a detailed submission, review and on-site verification, AGS Rehab Solutions Inc. met the qualifications to receive Canada Awards for Excellence Gold recognition in the Mental Health at Work® category. In a letter to Addie Greco-Sanchez, President of AGS, on July 13, 2017, Allan Ebedes, President & CEO of Excellence Canada, noted “A tremendous amount of hard work and commitment was required by everyone in your organization to become a recipient of Canada’s pre-eminent recognition program for organizational excellence. In meeting the rigour of the Canada Awards for Excellence requirements, your organization has demonstrated that it is one of the best managed in Canada. We commend you on your great success!”
In order to achieve Gold level, the expected outcomes include positive achievements in meeting and exceeding strategic goals; an organization-wide focus on mental health issues; achieving positive results across all drivers, across all areas/departments of the organization; and widespread quantifiable improvement as a result of moving from reactive to proactive approaches and practices. AGS was recognized for its strengths in Leadership, People Engagement, Planning and Programs, and Process and Risk Management, all geared towards a true commitment to workplace psychological health and safety, fostering a collaborative environment and creating a culture where its empowered and engaged employees can thrive. AGS was also commended for being an “external role model” for voluntarily adapting and implementing the National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace as part of the three-year Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) case study and national research project.

AGS will receive this award at the 2017 Performance Excellence Summit and Canada Awards for Excellence in Toronto on November 9th, 2017.
